soft, subdued
gentle rainfall
flowing slowly from the sky
in perfect rhythm
filling streets with ripples
puddles
mirroring the grey sky;
dark, serene.
the pitter-patter-pitter-patter
of the cool drops
fills the neighborhood
children frolic; others take shelter
the soothing sound
fades
quietly, to nothing;
the grey dissapears.
