And I agree with Marysia, I'm 42 and it's been my best decade so far. I like the phrase "sense of acceptance" but as I'm getting increasingly annoyed with friends complaining about aging, I'm not sure I can claim that I'm getting mellower. 2010 is going to be a winner, I’m sure of it.

I made it in one piece almost a year ago and have to say I'm looking forward to more. For the past year I've been an out of work teacher living precariously financially and yet have a sense of acceptance about the future that I've never had before. This brand new perspective has definitely been earned through experience and lots of meditation and is still fragile enough for me to fret over. I'm still trying to stay focused on the present and not the future, but I've learned about the beautiful act of yielding to circumstances instead of fighting against them.
