This post really made me think about how tied some of us (like me) can be to places/houses as much as the person we become/thought we were in that place. I have had many of the same thoughts about my (two) periods at 2541 Grand, and all the emotional baggage tied up in that house. A different, somewhat easier emotional "neighborhood" than the worst of the comparisons you make here, but apt in many other ways. Thanks for the piece. Good luck with navigating the new spaces.
