Oh, and Hanne, will keep eyes peeled for the package. Again, I consider it an honor, babe.

One of the truly nice things about having pets is that you can practice taking photos with them without a release, or having to negotiate scheduling. Before I headed out today (and did a little cleaning of the hell that I call home) I thought I'd feel out the new camera some more, play with the settings, figure out how to get things I want from it.

Here's Zoe, looking a bit nonplussed as usual.

Her sibling, Rosie. Dig that whisker detail. This camera is incredibly sharp, even with the photos at a size four times larger than my monitor.
I honestly just wanted to work with the cats, since they tend to sit nice and still, but Everyone's Favorite PugthingŠ did not like being left out of the action, and thus crawled into my lap, right in the middle of the frame, so I couldn't deny her her due.

I put a large size of that one on my desktop just because it's funny to see Sofia bigger than life, so if you simply must have a desktop pug, you can grab a 600x800 here, or a 1200x900 here. Enjoy.

Afraid not, Peter. But there are plenty of things in Heather's, and a box is on its way to her even as I type. So perhaps you'll get to see some of it soon... in one form or another.

I'm certain that right now she would love the fact of your putting it all to good use.
[Probably not a darned thing in my size, eh?]
Safe journey, Hanne.

Dateline: Cleveland, Ohio -- Have struck motherlode of my grandmother's vintage lingerie from the 1930's and 1940's. Nana was, as a younger woman, about Heather's size, only I think a slight bit topheavier and a slight bit taller. Mentally planning Nana Memorial Cheesecake Photo Shoot. My grandmother would pretend to be shocked, but boy, would my grandfather (may both their names be blessed) approve.
