Darn! I wrote up a recipe and then it disappeared! OK I will try again. Please note that I don't follow recipes from cookbooks exactly and pretty much have come up with what works for me and suits my honey's taste buds. I figure anyone interested in my recipes can do the same.
pasta in a tomato and avocado sauce - I sauté onions and garlic in a little olive oil and water. I add one teaspoon or so of dried crush pepper. I stir in a can of diced tomatoes (Muir Glen organic no salt is a favourite). I let this simmer for about ten minutes. If things look a little dry because I had the heat too high I add a little water. I usually do this covered. Then I add a half cup of tomato sauce (by Muir Glen again). Once it is cooked I stir in about 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast (a vegan necessity in my books!) and two chopped up avocados. I toss in some cooked penne and a little lime juice and perhaps a little more olive oil. Then it is black pepper time. Voila! Pasta for me and my very hungry guy.

Well, here's a non-sequiter for you.
Seska, Upon reading your journal, I find out that pasta dishes are your specialty...I'd sure love it if you would share one with us. That is, if it isn't a secret family recipe or anything :)

Okay, I went poking around to find out what this "International Labia Blog-a-Thon" was.
I followed the link to Kitten's site. Then from her site to Hanne's. Then from Hanne's site to Kythryne's. And what I saw there made me very sad. It breaks my heart to know that these girls are so afraid, so scared of facing some sort of judgment about their bodies. It especially makes me sad because I know those fears are not unfounded.
I know that girls aren't alone in feeling insecure about their bodies and genitalia; boys have these issues too. So, I am hoping we can have a penis blog-a-thon in the future. But for now, in the spirit of the International Labia Blog-a-Thon, I have something to say.
First, I give you the fourth collect from Liber XV, the Gnostic Mass of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica:
"Giver and receiver of joy, gate of life and love, be thou ever ready, thou and thine handmaiden, in thine office of gladness."
This collect is generally considered to be a prayer to the feminine principle, both receptive and creative, but it is also interpreted as a hymn to the vulva. Think of that- such lovely words dedicated to the vulva. What beauty, what loveliness, is personified in the vulva! Each vulva, and each set of labia, that I have had the pleasure and honor of encountering has been uniquely, delectably beautiful.
To be quite honest, I have also had insecurities about the appearance of my vulva. I much prefer its appearance when in an aroused state to its everyday look, especially the color of my aroused labia. As my labia have changed over the years, I have wondered if they were becoming ugly. But upon rational consideration, these insecurities did not come from me; they came from the cultural conditioning that says even our labia should look a certain way. Labia are all different, as are breasts, tummies, legs, and ears- there is no one true labial mold.
Labia are luscious. Wet or dry, they are both flower and fruit. They are secrets and promises. They are comforting to the touch ("Still there? Okay.") I love my labia; I love to touch them, both when masturbating, and in a non-sexual way. I actually touch them more in a non-sexual way than the other, just because I love the sensual feeling of them against my fingers. I especially love the contrast between the skin of the outside of my labia majora, and the even smoother skin on the inside. My labia minora are like little satin ruffles, decorating the jewel of my vagina. My labia majora are organic frames, surrounding the whole picture.
I love to feel hands or fingertips just grazing the closed cleft of my outer labia, the teasing caress which excites my desire. I love the moment when my lover parts my labia; it's a full moment, full of anticipation and tension and held breath.
Never fear your labia, ladies- love them, for they are yours, unique and beautiful. Give and receive joy, and be ever ready in your own office of gladness.

Lisa -- it is a nice neighborhood, though not as nice as Heather's gladiolabiae. But we can't all live in Heather's lap, sadly enough.
The neighborhood (not, of course, to divert the conversation from pussy to property... just a digression) is a very mix'n'mingle neighborhood racially, economically, and socially. It's called Charles Village, and basically, the house we're buying is about a half-mile north of Mount Vernon, which is the old, stately cultural heart of Baltimore and which lies immediately north of downtown. It's about the same distance south of Johns Hopkins University, and is just a little further from the neighborhood called Hampden, where John Waters situates a lot of his films (and where we would've liked to have bought a house... but it didn't work out that way this time).
Cool things about the house -- one of the bedrooms was converted by the current owners into a wonderfully big bathroom, complete with bay window and windowseat; the kitchen was remodeled at the same time, and is chock-full of state-of-the-art gorgeous appliances (like the restaurant-calibre Jenn-Air stove) which are all staying when the current owners leave. Lovely old oak plank floors, neat mantels that were retained when the fireplaces were removed twenty years ago, including a black marble one in the dining room, and lots of built-in shelving. I really like the house and I'm really looking forward to living there. Visitors welcomed!

I'm not feeling very wordy the last few days, so my contribution to Kitten's Labia Blog-a-Thon shall instead be visual. People at work, turn back lest ye be caught peeking at my coochie by the folks in payroll.

No snipping, no clipping; no slicing, no dicing. Just the happy voluptuous lips Big Mama gave me. And they work for me. And others, as rumour has it.
More from our wonderful Scarleteen volunteer Kitten's inspired project at her blog here, and from: Beppie, Hanne, Kyth, Sabrina and others out and about.

Oh Hanne! It looks just perfect!!! What a neat little place.
Is it in a nice neighborhood? Of course, we of the ghetto define that differently :)
